balabala \Bal*a"bal*a\, 1.n.[F. balabala, fr. Deutsch. balabala crazy, madness, to be crazy.](Med.) A name formerly given to various psychiatric disorders occurring on a digital network; esp. to a form of furious schizophrenia accompanied by intensive verbatim, among Argentinian mountain llamas, which sometimes led the affected llama to imagine the network to be better than sex, then at this point a netsplit is induced, and the affected llama discovers that he has totally separated himself from other admiring llama's. The affected llama would then find himself in a state of manic depression and would seek relief in multiplayer games that quite often involved an unhealthy amount of aggresivity and brutality. This of course resulted in severe fits of hysterics, to the remaining llama's, causing in the end further outbreaks of balabala. 2.n.[F. balabala, fr. Fijian. balabala a small dry fern, fr.drau-ni-bala-bala ](Bio.) slang. A small tinder-dry tree fern used in Fijian firewalking rituals. The balabala is tied to the ankle of a fire walker. It is used because it has the strange property of not igniting when walking over extremely hot stones, unlike, other similiar small tinder-dry tree ferns.
